POLITICO 28 – Class of 2022 Dinner

Watch our POLITICO 28 interviews again here

2022 has started with Russia’s war on Ukraine with unprecedented economic, social and humanitarian consequences for Europe. At a critical time when Western leaders are showing solidarity and unity, POLITICO is hosting its annual POLITICO 28 flagship event on Tuesday, March 22 in Brussels. Maroš Šefčovič, European commission vice president for interinstitutional relations and foresight; Ylva Johansson, European commissioner for home affairs, and Karen Donfried, U.S. assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, will be joining us for some very timely interviews on the evening.

Three months — and highly consequential ones — after the publication of our own list, the POLITICO newsroom will unveil the most powerful people in Europe as chosen by our readers via a survey.

This invitation-only event will mark a much-awaited come back to in-person events in 2022, bringing together more than a hundred high-level doers, dreamers and disruptors for an evening of exclusive interviews and reconnecting.

Cannot make it? Tune in online to listen to these exclusive interviews on the day and engage with us on twitter #POLITICO28

POLITICO 28 Class of 2022 Dinner - March 22, 2022

POLITICO Europe supports the Solidarity Ukraine campaign

The conflict in Ukraine brings unprecedented political, economic, social and humanitarian consequences for Europe. At a critical time when Western leaders are showing solidarity and unity, POLITICO Europe is dedicating its annual POLITICO 28 event to the Ukrainian people and has launched a fundraiser to support the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.

POLITICO Europe will make a donation of 15 000 euros to the Belgian Red Cross which will support emergency relief for people in Ukraine as well as in neighboring countries. The Belgian Red Cross allocates the donations depending on the current local needs in Ukraine or abroad in support of Ukrainians.

Last December 8, we unveiled the 2022 POLITICO 28 Power List, ranking the most powerful people in Europe. The list is chosen by our expert journalists after extensive discussion within and outside the newsroom, with no attempt to artificially create gender or geographic balance. All that counts is the degree of influence – whether virtuous or malign. Check out the full POLITICO 28 Class of 2022, and read the Letter from the Editors for an explanation of the thinking behind the ranking.
